Woodford Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Redbridge, in Travelcard Zone 4. It is served by the Central Line between South Woodford Tube Station (heading towards Ealing Broadway/West Ruislip) and Buckhurst Hill Tube Station (heading towards Epping). The station is also the terminus for the Hainault loop which branches off to Roding Valley Tube Station heading towards Hainault.
The Woodford Tube Station began operations in 1856 for the Eastern Counties Railway. It was served by the Central Line since 1947. It served as the terminus for the Central Line until electric services were in place the following year.
Woodford Tube Station is located off Charteris Road to the west and Madeira Grove to the east. It has three platforms.
