Wembley Park Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in Wembley Park, in the London Borough of Brent. The station is on Bridge Road, within Travelcard Zone 4. It is served by the Metropolitan Line and Jubilee Line. It is the nearest station to Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena.
On the Metropolitan Line, it is between Preston Road Tube Station (heading towards Watford or Uxbridge) and Finchley Road Tube Station (heading towards Baker Street or Aldgate). On the Jubilee Line, the station is between Kingsbury Tube Station (heading towards Stanmore) and Neasden Tube Station (heading towards Stratford).
The Wembley Park Tube Station began operations in 1893 for the Metropolitan Railway, precursor of the Metropolitan Line. The tracks have been laid as early as 1880 towards Harrow. Wembley Park itself was developed by the Metropolitan Railway as a recreational destination. Services transferred to the Bakerloo Line in 1939. Services were transferred again in 1979, to the Jubilee Line.
