Watford Tube Station (map) is a station of the London Underground in Watford, a town and borough in Hertfordshire, England. The station is in Travelcard Zone 7. It is located off Cassiobury Park Drive, at the junction with Metropolitan Station Approach. The station serves as the terminus of the Metropolitan Line after the Croxley Tube Station, heading towards Baker Street and Aldgate.
The Watford Tube Station was opened in 1925. It carries a similar design with other stations in the vicinity, and was designed by C.W. Clark. There is presently a proposal called the Croxley Rail Link. If it materializes, the Metropolitan Line will cease serving this station, and will instead be re-routed to Watford Junction. However, the project has been delayed by lack of funds.
