Veeraswamy at 99 Regent Street, is a famous Indian restaurant near Piccadilly Circus, in London. Veeraswamy was opened in 1926, and is believed to be the oldest surviving Indian restaurant in the United Kingdom. In its early years, Veeraswamy served so-called Anglo-Indian cuisine, but in recent years, due to the popularity of authentic Indian food in UK, has started to serve a menu of regional Indian cuisine, including dishes from Punjab, Lucknow, Kashmir and Goa. The deco has been updated a number of times. In the 1990s, it adopted an ultramodern theme. To celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2006, however, it redecorated in 1920s motif.

Veeraswamy has served many famous people including King Gustav VI of Sweden, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Charlie Charplin, King Hussein of Jordan and Marlon Brando.
