Theydon Bois Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in the district of Epping Forest, in Essex county, East England. The station, which is in Travelcard Zone 6, is served by the Central Line between Debden Tube Station (heading towards Ealing Broadway or West Ruislip) and Epping Tube Station, which is the terminus.
Theydon Bois Tube Station has the lowest amount of traffic movement among all the stations in Zone 6. It is also the least-used station of the Epping Branch of the Central Line from Snaresbrook Tube Station to Epping Tube Station.
The Theydon Bois tube station first opened in 1865 for the Great Eastern Railway. It was planned for the electrified Central Line services since 1938, but the service only began in 1949. The interruption of about a decade was due to the Second World War.
