Southfields Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in Southfields, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The station is located at the junction between Augustus Road and Wimbledon Park Road. It is served by the District Line between the Wimbledon Park Tube Station (heading towards Wimbledon) and East Putney Tube Station, heading towards Upminster and Edgware Road Tube Station). It is in Travelcard Zone 3.
Southfields Tube Station dates back to 1889, when it opened for the Metropolitan District Railway, the precursor of the District Line. The station belonged to British Rail until 1994, when ownership transferred to the London Underground.
