Selfridges is a chain of upscale department stores that is found across the United Kingdom. Its flag ship store along Oxford Street is the second biggest department store in the United Kingdom after Harrods.

Selfridges is named after its founded Harry Goldon Selridges, who started the Oxford Street store in 1909. Since then, Selfridges have also opened branches in Trafford (Greater Manchester) in 1998, Exchange Square in Manchester city centre in 2002 and in the Bullring in Birmingham in 2003. The chain was acquired by Canadian businessman Galen Weston for £598 million.

How to reach Selfridges

Take the London Underground to the Bond Street Tube Station, and walk a short distance from there.

Store Information

Selfridges is at 400 Oxford Street. It is open Mondays to Saturdays from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm except for Thursdays to 9:00 pm. On Sundays it is open from 11:30 am to 6:15 pm.
