Roding Valley Tube Station is served by the Central Line between Chigwell Tube Station (heading towards Hainault, Ealing Broadway or West Ruislip) and Woodford Tube Station, which is the terminus. The station is located off Station Way to the north of the railway line, though it can also be approached from Cherry Tree Rise to nthe south.
Roding Valley Tube Station opened for the Great Eastern Railway in 1903. It began serving the electrified Central Line in 1948, after a delay of about a decade due to the Second World War. Since 2006, it no longer has a manned ticketing office, due to its low traffic movement. There are however staff on duty at the information counter.
