Pall Mall Tourist Info
Pall Mall is a street in the City of Westminster, London. It runs parallel to The Mall, from St. James's Street across Waterloo Place to the Haymarket, and continues as Pall Mall East into Trafalgar Square. The name pall mall comes from a mallet-and-ball game from the 17th century. It is an exclusive area of London, and includes among others St James's Palace, Marlborough House and Carlton House. Two other significant buildings on Pall Mall are Schomberg House and the London residence of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos. It is called Buckingham House, but not the same Buckingham House as the one that is today Buckingham Palace.
