Kensington is a neighbourhood within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in Inner London. It is an upscale neighbourhood centred upon Kensington High Street. The neighbourhood is bordered by Notting Hill to the north, Chelsea and Earl's Court to the south, Brompton and Knightsbridge to the east, and Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush to the west. Kensington also includes the adjacent neighbourhood of South Kensington, which is home to many famous museums.

Kensington is one of the most expensive real estate in London. Among the expensive residential areas include Edwardes Square, Earls Terrace, The Phillimore and Wycombe Square. Nonetheless it is also one of the most populated neighbourhoods within the most populated local government district, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in the country.
