The Jubilee Line of the London Underground is a line with 27 stations over a 36.2 km (22.5 miles) distance 13 of the stations are underground.
The Jubilee Line first opened in 1932 as part of the Metropolitan main line. It was renamed Jubilee Line in 1977 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee that year. It was officially opened by the Prince of Wales on 30 April, 1979.
