Hillingdon Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in Hillingdon, in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is located off Long Lane, in Travelcard Zone 6.
The Hillingdon Tube Station is served by the Metropolitan Line and the Piccadilly Line. It is the penultimate station for both lines which terminate at Uxbridge Tube Station. Both lines continue in the other direct to Ickenham Tube Station. From there, the Metropolitan Line heads towards Baker Street or Aldgate while the Piccadilly line towards Cockfosters.
The original Hillingdon Tube Station was built in 1904. However, the present station dates to 1994, when the original station had to make way for the A40 road (also called Western Avenue). The new station was awarded the Underground Station of the Year for 1994.
