Hatton Cross Tube Station is served by the Heathrow branch of the Piccadilly Line between Hounslow West Tube Station (heading towards Cockfosters) and Heathrow Airport. There are three stations at Heathrow Airport namely Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 Tube Station (one consolidated station); Heathrow Terminal 4 station; and Heathrow Terminal 5 station.
Trains from Hatton Cross Tube Station to Heathrow Airport alternatives by either following a loop line that takes it to Heathrow Terminal 4 station and terminates at Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 station, or it goes straight to Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 station, and then terminates at Heathrow Terminal 5 station. In other words, trains going to Heathrow Terminal 4 station does not go to Heathrow Terminal 5 station, and vice versa.
Hatton Cross Tube Station began operations in 1975 when the Piccadilly Line was extended towards Heathrow Airport. It remained the terminus until the Heathrow Central Station (now called Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3 station) opened in 1977.
