Elephant & Castle Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Southwark, on the boundary between Travelcard Zones 1 and 2. The station is served by two subway lines, namely the Bank Branch of the Northern Line between Borough Tube Station and Kennington Tube Station, and is also the southern terminus of the Bakerloo Line after the Lambeth North Tube Station.

The Elephant & Castle Tube Station began operations on 18 December 1890 with the Northern Line, then known as the City & South London Railway, and on 5 August 1906 as the southern terminus of the Bakerloo Line, then known as the Baker Street & Waterloo Railway. The station was rebuilt in the 1960's when the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre and roundabout were constructed.
