Downham is a district in southeastern Greater London straddling the boundary of the London Borough of Lewisham and the London Borough of Bromley. The electoral ward of Downham is on the Lewisham side. The Prime Meridian passes just west of Downham.

The most dominant feature of Downham is a council housing estate known as Downham Estate, developed in the late 1920's, when there was acute housing shortage in Central London. Downham Estate covers 522 acres, of which 461 acres are in the then Metropolitan Borough of Lewisham (which since 1965 is now known as the London Borough of Lewisham).
