Colindale Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in Colindale, in the London Borough of Barnet. It is located on Colindale Avenue in Travelcard Zone 4. The station is served by the Edgware branch of the Northern Line between Burnt Oak Tube Station (heading towards Edgware) and Hendon Central Tube Station (heading towards Morden and Kennington).
The Colindale Tube Station began operations in 1924 on the then Hampstead and Highgate Line. The original station, in the Classical style, was destroyed during World War II bombing. A temporary shelter was put up in place of the original station - and it lasted longer than the original building, as it was only replaced in 1962 with the new station building, which incorporates it into a shopping arcade.
