Catford is a neighbourhood in the London Borough of Lewisham in South London, about 10 km (6.3 mi) to the southeast of Charing Cross.
Catford underwent an architectural transformation in the 1960's and 70's, when many of its 19th century buildings were replaced by modern buildings, including Eros House, built in the brutalist style, and is now a Grade II heritage building.

Although Catford derived its name from cattle rather than cat, the district's most prominent landmark is a black cat sculpture in fibreglass at the entrance to the Catford Centre, a small shopping centre with Tesco and Iceland supermarkets as anchor tenants.
