Brixton, London
Brixton is a neighbourhood within the London Borough of Lambeth in Inner London. The neighbourhood is mostly residential in character. Brixton has a substantial population of African and Caribbean descent. The area has been plagued with social and economic problems, mainly in this particular segment of the population, and it erupted into riots in 1981, 1985 and 1995.
