Borough Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in The Borough area, within the London Borough of Southwark. Located in Travelcard Zone 1, the station is served by the Northern Line Bank branch between London Bridge Tube Station and Elephant & Castle Tube Station.
The Borough Tube Station began operations on 18 December 1890 for the City and South London Railway, which was the world's first underground electric railway and London's first deep tunnel subway. It was rebuilt in the 1920's when the tunnels were enlarged.
