Barbican Tube Station is a London Underground station in the City of London. It serves the residential estate of Barbican Estate and Barbican Centre, the largest performing arts centre in Europe. The station, which is located in Travelcard Zone 1, is served by the Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line and Metropolitan Line. All three lines run between the Farringdon Tube Station and Moorgate Tube Station.

When Barbican Tube Station first opened, it was known as the Aldersgate Street Station. On 1 November 1910 it was renamed Aldersgate Station until 1923, when it was renamed Aldersgate and Barbican Station until 1968, when it got its present name.
