Archway Tube Station is a station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Islington. It is located in the Archway neighbourhood, underneath the Archway Tower, at the intersection of Holloway Road, Highgate Hill and Junction Road.
The Archway Tube Station is served by the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line, between the Highgate Tube Station and Tufnell Park Tube Station. It is in both Travelcard Zone 2 and 3. The station first opened on 22 June, 1907 and was known as Highgate Station. From then, its name evolved through several phases as Highgate (Archway) Station, Archway (Highgate) Station, and eventually Archway Station (or Archway Tube Station).
